About Dillon in the Cell Tower Industry
Dillon products help to reduce time on site by producing quick and accurate results for tension readings, while recording all the readings and date/time which can be easily exported once the job has been completed.
For communication towers it is important the masts are plumb to ensure maximum network coverage. By using the Quick-Check tension meter this can be achieved within minutes. Inbuilt software can measure, read and record each guy wire and anchor point to ensure that the tower is completely straight. The same can be said about erecting an overhead telephone line, it is very important that the conductors are under a safe tension. If the conductor wires are too stretched between supports in a bid to save conductor material, the stress in the conductor may reach unsafe value and in certain cases the conductor may break due to excessive tension.
